The Ironton Police Department is investigating a break-in at VFW Post 8850 over the weekend. The break-in was reported around 1 p.m. Sunday, Detective Chris Bowman of IPD, said.

The suspect or suspects got in through a back door and attempted to enter a safe, Bowman said. An undetermined amount of money was taken.

No arrests have been made and police have no suspects.

Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call the police department at 532-5606.
