Court hears burglary cases

Three men accused of breaking into the home of a deceased Ironton woman denied the charges in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
William French, 32, of 1577 County Road 52, Ironton; Jacob Jenkins, 20, of 610 Washington St., Coal Grove; and Shane Jenkins, 20, of 360 Township Road 111, Ironton were arraigned Wednesday.
French pleaded not guilty to theft from an elderly person, a fourth-degree felony and complicity to burglary, a second-degree felony.
Jacob Jenkins pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree burglary. Shane Jenkins pleaded not guilty to complicity to burglary and burglary.
Judge Charles Cooper set bond for French and Jacob Jenkins at $100,000 cash or surety. The judge set a $100,000 cash or recognizance bond for Shane Jenkins and allowed that if it was recognizance that both parents should sign the bond.
Pretrial hearings in all three of the cases have been set for Aug. 3.
