Preparing the Tri-State’s Next Healthcare leaders
CHESAPEAKE — Collins Career Technical Center (CCTC) has announced a record-breaking NCLEX pass rates across its nursing programs, further solidifying its reputation as a leader in healthcare education.
“CCTC nursing graduates are not only prepared to excel in their exams but also to step confidently into roles where they provide high-quality care for our families and communities,” said James Woda, director of Communications. “These exceptional pass rates demonstrate the dedication of our students, the expertise of our faculty, and the strength of our programs.”
In 2023, the Practical Nursing (PN) program achieved an impressive 94.87% NCLEX pass rate, ranking third in all of Ohio’s practical nursing programs and outperforming the state average of 80.38% and the national average of 86.68%.
Similarly, the LPN-to-RN diploma program delivered exceptional results by ranking first in Ohio with an 86.96% pass rate, showcasing the success of its comprehensive training model.
CCTC’s groundbreaking Paramedic-to-RN program, the only one of its kind in Ohio, achieved a perfect 100% pass rate, underscoring its innovative approach to bridging critical gaps in healthcare.
With higher-than-average retention rates and strong employer demand for graduates, CCTC is committed to developing the healthcare providers the tri-state region needs. As enrollment grows and programs expand, the center continues to raise the bar for nursing education.
CCTC, located in Chesapeake, provides health, service, and trades-based career technical programs for adult and high school students throughout the Tri-State region (Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia). High school juniors and seniors can participate in full-time on-campus programs or STEM classes in six of the seven county school districts.
Students in their programs can access industry-standard equipment as they earn credentials and develop the skills needed to begin their careers as competent workforce members.
