CHESAPEAKE — The Chesapeake Lady Panthers are 2-for-2-for-2.

The Lady Panthers got their second straight win in 2 nights with a strong second half as they beat the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings 49-37 on Wednesday.

Erin Hicks scored all 5 of her points in the first quarter including a 3-pointer as Chesapeake took a 15-7 lead.

Abbey Isaacs had 4 points, Ciera Nichols 3 points and Kate Ball knocked down a 3-pointer.

Kaitlyn Maynard scored 4 points and Brenna Tibbs hit a 3-pointer for the Lady Vikings.

Symmes Valley cut the deficit to just 21-17 at the half as Riley Loudenburg scored 6 of her 8 points in the second quarter while Kaylee Maynard and Lydia Saunders each made 2 free throws.

Clairynn Romans and Ball had 3-pointers to account for Chesapeake’s scoring in the quarter.

But the Lady Panthers came out strong in the third quarter and outscored the Lady Vikings 15-10 to lead 36-27.

Chesapeake (2-0) scored all its points in the quarter on 3-pointers as Ball made 3 from behind the arc and Isaacs made 2 more.

Tibbs had 4 points as 4 different players scored in the quarter for the Lady Vikings.

Chesapeake continued to pull away in the fourth quarter as Ball scored 6 points and Isaacs had 5 points including 3-of-4 at the foul line.

Kaitlyn Maynard had  more points in the fourth quarter for the Lady Vikings.

Ball led all scorers with 21 points while Isaacs scored 15.

Tibbs scored 9 points, Loudenburg 8 points and Kaitlyn Maynard 7.
