COAL GROVE — This is what the Coal Grove e Lady Hornets call a “level” playing field.

Coal Grove had 4 players in double figures as they rolled past the Tolsia Lady Rebels 60-47 in a non-league game.

“We had good balanced scoring with four players in double figures. It was a good team win,” said Lady Hornets’ coach Nick Miller.

Alivia Noel scored 15 points to lead 4 Lady Hornets in double figures. Kendall Taylor scored 13, Jenna Anson 12 and Kinsey Keeney added 11.

Coal Grove jumped in front 20-13 in the first quarter as Anson scored 8 points and Taylor had 5 points including a 3-pointer.

Keeney and Alivia Noel also made 3-pointers for Coal Grove (1-2).

Artrip hit three 3-pointers and scored 11 of Tolsia’s 13 points in the quarter.

The Lady Hornets opened up a 36-15 lead at the half.

Noel had a big quarter for Coal Grove as she scored 10 points including a pair of trifectas.

Artrip had the only basket in the quarter for Tolsia.

Five different players scored in the third quarter as each team scored 11 points it was 47-26.

Artrip had 6 points including another triple for Tolsia.

Coal Grove got 4 points from Taylor and a triple from Emma Lively to outscore Tolsia 13-8 in the fourth quarter.

Four different players scored for the Lady Rebels.
