Scouts thank those who supported food drive

Pack and Troop 104 of the First United Methodist Church would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the people in the sections of Ironton that we covered for “Scouting for Food!”

The food donated was outstanding and our downtown food pantry will have food for those in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

We also want to thank Bartram’s Grocery for donating the food bags that we left on the doors for the people to fill.

These times truly let us know what generous residents there are in our community.

By the time all the food was brought in, the tables were really stacked up with layers of food items of all varieties.

Again, Dr. Bob Barnett Jr., the scoutmaster of Troop 104, and I want to give our heartfelt thanks from the boys, leaders, and families who took part in the “Scouting for Food” drive this year.
