Boy with local ties earns recognition in Kentucky

Jonathan Rase of Scott County (Ky.) Middle School was recently recognized for his cross country accomplishments this year.
Rase was one of 10 runners in the sixth grade and below who were recognized by the Area Six Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Rase was one of the top 10 sixth grade and under runners in more than 30 area school districts in Central Kentucky.
The previous two years, he won the title of the “fastest student,” at Stamping Ground Elementary. Jonathan is the son of Dean and Jennifer Rase.
Rase could have be en seen running around Central Christian Church a few years ago, where Dean, a hometown boy, served as the interim minister.
Rase is also the grandson of Pat and Jean Rase.
