A Wurtland, Ky., man died in a one-car accident Saturday afternoon on State Route 93.

Christopher J. Hutson, 19, died from injuries he received when the car he was driving went off the road at State Route 93, near Milepost No. 4. The Ironton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the accident at 4:57 p.m.

Hutson was driving southbound when the vehicle left the roadway at the west side of the road, struck a guardrail and overturned, according to the patrol. Hutson was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the car.

He was transported to Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital where he later died.
