Kentucky State Police to offer Citizens Police Academy

ASHLAND, Ky —  The Kentucky State Police in Ashland will host its third annual Citizens Police Academy starting Sept. 8, at the Health and Education Center at King’s Daughters Medical Center.

The classes run for 11 weeks from 7:30 to 9 p.m. every Thursday evening with a graduation ceremony Nov. 27.

This learning opportunity will provide participants with an in- depth look at the multiple aspects of the Kentucky State Police as well as an opportunity to interact with the troopers that

work the local communities.

There is no cost to attend this academy. The activities include classroom presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
