Mildred Brown

Mildred M. Brown, 74, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Jo-Lin Health Center in Ironton. The Lawrence County native was born Jan. 11, 1937, the daughter of the late Cecil Lewis and Maggie Martin Lewis.

Mrs. Brown attended Ironton City Schools and had lived all of her life in the Ironton area. Mildred worked 28 years at Bryant’s Nursing Home in Ironton and worked several years for Accent Home Health and Country Angels Home Health. She attended the Ironton City Mission Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond G. Brown; two brothers, Martin Lewis and Raymond Lewis; and five sisters, Carolina Dement, Dick Call, Margaret Browning, Gladys Malone and Wanda Lewis.

She is survived by: son, Raymond (Ray) Brown of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Rick McKnight of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Michael Baldridge of Argillite, Ky.; grandchildren, Raymond (Shawn) Brown, Becky Rankin, Katie and Kelsey Baldridge, Keia Kimmle, Rickie (Lee Ann) Burton, Emily Brown and Candis Robinson; great grandchildren, Tyler Brown, Casey Dawn Brown, Wilson and Bradyon Rankin, Alexis Huff, Noah and Jaydon Burton, Haley and BreAnna Kimmle and Leaha, William and Chase Robinson; special niece, Barbara Dickinson of Ironton; and special friend, Rose Hensley of Ironton.
