Community support made Tools 4 School successful

Many area school children received back packs filled with school supplies and enjoyed fun-filled festivities at St Paul Lutheran Church’s annual Tools 4 School giveaway and First United Methodist Church’s Summerfest on Aug. 8.
This year’s Tools 4 School event was truly a community effort involving several area churches, businesses, organizations, groups and individuals who contributed not only monetarily but also with their time and involvement.
Thanks to all of you for supporting our mission!
We especially want to recognize and thank the members of St Paul Lutheran Church in Ironton. We’re a small group but work together to accomplish large dreams. Plus, All Saints Lutheran Church in Worthington, Ohio.
Because of the participation of many, we surpassed our goal of 2,120 back packs and enabled a lot of our area youth to begin the school year with not only the necessary materials for school but also a brighter outlook toward education.
On behalf of Nancy Corn and myself, “thank you.”
Hazel Jacob, Ironton
