With a week leading into Easter Sunday, Harbor Health Care in Ironton hosted an egg hunt on April 12 that drew 250 children to the senior living facility.
The event featured egg hunts for four age groups, photos with the Easter Bunny (for which 150 children took part), a truck from Sunset Sludge of Portsmouth, food vendors and an Easter basket giveaway.
In addition to the regular eggs, children were told to look for a golden egg in each category, which could be exchanged for a large prize.
Brittany Barnett, laundry supervisor and STNA with Harbor Health, said there were numerous community sponsors for the event, including Dave Stevens, who donated a girls bike; Robin Sanders, the Louder family and the Manna Foundation, who donated Easter baskets; the Noelle family and Terry Jenkins, who donated cash; Mitch and Marge Zwick, who donated eggs; the Ironton Moose Lodge, who donated candy and eggs; and Harbor employees, who donated multiple items.
Harbor Health Care is located at 1050 Clinton St. in Ironton.
