The long list of outstanding athletes, coaches and boosters/contributors at Ironton High School is about to grow.

Ironton will conduct Hall of Fame ceremonies this weekend as 10 new members will be inducted.

The banquet and induction ceremonies will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Ironton High School cafeteria. Cost per person is $10 at the door.

Hall of Fame members will be introduced a halftime of the Ironton vs. South Point boys’ basketball game on Friday.

Jimmy Morris (football, basketball, track, state long jump champion)

Roman Fry (football, Clemson Tigers All-American lineman)

Rick Howard (football, basketball, highly successful girls basketball coach)

Jim Wipert (football, basketball, co-captain linebacker for Iowa State, successful girls basketball coach, assistant football coach)

Keith Parker (football, baseball, 1972 state baseball champions, Morehead State baseball)

2024 Inductees

Merril Triplett II (football, wrestling, track, long-time successful high school football coach, assistant coach 2024 Ironton state championship team)

Rick Massie (football, baseball, 1972 state baseball champion, linebacker University of Kentucky)

Kim Hess (basketball, softball, Morris Harvey College (now University of Charleston) women’s basketball NAIA All-American)

Janet Walker Jones (volleyball, basketball, softball, girls basketball coach)

Willie Keith (track, state 100 meter dash champion)
