Ironton In Boom’ September Yard of the Month belongs to Kay Davidson, 2426 S. 12th St.  He is pictured with her grandson, Peyton Davidson. Her home shows how to supplement the spaces left in a flower garden as both annuals and many perennials die back in late summer. She has chosen the broad spectrum of fall colors as her palette. The dwarf red maple tree provides maroon leaves and the large white blooming hydrangea bring bright highlights to the pumpkins on both sides of the entrance. Black-Eyed Susans, coreopsis, and bright marigolds are blooming amongst a mix of ceramic multicolored toad stools/mushrooms. (Submitted photo)
