Teresa Sue Moore, 75, of Huntersville, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.

The Lawrence County native was born Aug. 31, 1948, the daughter of the late Berkley Bowman and Maxine McIntyre Bowman Lambert.

Teresa was a 1966 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School.

She was a graduate of the St. Mary’s School of Nursing and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Ohio University.

Teresa retired in 2009 from the Dawson-Bryant School District after over 30 years as the school nurse.

She was also a lifelong member of the Coal Grove Memorial Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sisters, Pamela and Jana Bowman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ron Moore, who she married Feb. 17, 1996; son, Matthew Topping, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jeannette Topping, of Huntersville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Sophia, Julia and Will Topping, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and Halley Grace Topping, of Huntersville, North Carolina, Justin, Nathan and Paige Tarr, of Scott Depot, West Virginia; Ron’s daughters, Natalie (Eric) Tarr, of Scott Depot, West Virginia and Erin Moore, of Lexington, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be noon Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. Sixth St., Ironton, with Homer Waddle officiating.

Burial will follow the service in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton.

Teresa’s family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

There will be a dinner at Coal Grove Memorial Methodist Church immediately following the graveside service.
