2024 Lawrence County Fair’s royal court to be crowned on Sunday

The 2024 Lawrence County Fair gets underway Saturday, July 6. Part of the annual tradition is the crowning of the fair king, queen and princess—scheduled for noon as part of the opening ceremonies on Sunday, July 7 in the large animal barn at the Lawrence County fairgrounds.
King contestants are:
• AJ Brammer, the son of Tony and Amanda Brammer, and Andrea and Bryson Mullis. He is a sophomore at Fairland High School and a member of the Rome Guys and Gals 4-H Club.
• Devin Fife, the son of Stepheney and Paul Lewis. He is a junior at Symmes Valley High School and a member of the Decatur Buckles and Boots 4-H club.
• Jaxon Gates, the son of Chris and Melisssa Gates. He is a sophomore at Symmes Valley High school and a member of the Symmes Valley FFA.
• Josiah Stallard, the son of Erica and Robbie Fetty, and Josh and Amy Stallard. He is a freshman at Dawson Bryant High School and a member of the Back Road Haybalers 4-H club as well as Teen Leaders.
Queen contestants are:
• Enola Cade, the daughter of Tom and Amber Cade. She is a junior at the University of Rio Grande and a member of the Lawrence County Teen Leaders.
• Kirsten Dome, the daughter of Jim and Carrie Dome. She is a senior in high school and a member of the Lawrence County Teen Leaders as well as the Farm Hands 4-H Club.
• Sydney Hairston, the daughter of Andrea and Jeff Hairston. She is a junior at Ohio University Southern and a member of the Lawrence County Shooting Sports club, Silver Spurs, Lawrence County Teen Leaders and the Barn Busters 4-H club.
• Isabella Kerns, the daughter of BJ and Leslie Kerns. She is a senior at Ironton High School and a member of the Over Yonder 4-H club.
• Veronica Poyner, the daughter of Courtney and Mike Roach, and Nick Poyner. She is a freshman at Marshall University and a member of the Andis Cornhuskers 4-H club.
Princess contestants are:
• Madison Bevins, the daughter of Jeanie Bevins. She is a sophomore at Symmes Valley High School, and is a member of the Rabbiteers 4-H club and Symmes Valley FFA.
• Bailey Fuller, the daughter of Jerome and Shannon Fuller. She is a junior at Rock Hill High School and a member of the Gingham and Denim 4-H club.
• Yardley Gorby, the daughter of Jeff and Megan Gorby. She is in the eighth grade at Fairland Middle School and a member of the Rome Guys and Gals 4-H club.
• Cate Litner, the daughter of Andy and Elizabeth Litner. She is a freshman at Ironton High School and a member of the Kitts Hill Willing Workers 4-H club.
• Meredith Rogers, the daughter of Ryan and Elizabeth Rogers. She is a sophomore at Rock Hill High school and a member of the Barnbusters 4-H club.
• Julie Kay Sexton, the daughter of Margie and Rodger Sexton. She is a freshman at Dawson Bryant High School and a member of the Backroad Haybalers 4-H club.
• Allie Stallard, the daughter of Erica and Robbie Fetty, and Josh and Amy Stallard. She is a junior at Dawson Bryant High School and a member of the Back Road Haybalers 4-H Club and Teen Leaders.
