The Red Caboose announces T-Shirt design winners

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Red Caboose Regional Artisan Center, located inside the Visitors Center at the Huntington Convention & Visitors Bureau offices, recently released the winners of the “Why I Love West Virginia” T-shirt contest and will be presenting the new shirts to the winners on Saturday, May 14 at the visitors center.

Local students submitted their drawings depicting why they love West Virginia and a winner was selected from the Elementary, Middle and High School age groups.

Winners included: Grant Zban- South Side Elementary School; Kirsten Ketchum – Huntington Middle School; and Emily Proctor – Huntington High School. More than 30 entries were received which included various artwork from hills and mountains to Marshall University and black bears.

The winners will have their artwork featured on a T-shirt, which will be sold at The Red Caboose.

The Red Caboose Regional Artisan Center is owned and operated by the Cabell-Huntington Convention & Visitors Bureau. The shop, located in the Visitors Center at Heritage Station, features creative, and often one-of-a-kind, products hand-crafted by local artisans.
