Nurse practitioner joins King’s Daughters team

ASHLAND, Ky. — UK King’s Daughters is pleased to welcome Ashlee Nichols, APRN, to its team, joining their outpatient Wellness and Recovery program.
Nichols earned her master of science in nursing, family nurse practitioner, from Walden University, Minneapolis, Minnesota; her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Kentucky, Lexington; and her associate of science in nursing from Ashland Community and Technical College. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Prior to joining King’s Daughters, Nichols was employed as an addiction medicine/family nurse practitioner at Bright View in Portsmouth.
King›s Daughters Wellness and Recovery program provides evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders. The program is dedicated to helping patients with their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The program provides services across the continuum of care, from the Emergency Department, to inpatient services, to the outpatient setting, and is funded by a Kentucky Opioid Response Effort (KORE) Grant.
Available services include:
• Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) – Vivitrol, Suboxone, and Sublocade
• Counseling – Groups and individuals
• Peer Support – Groups and individuals
• Case Management – Assistance with transportation and community resources
• Educational Resources – Narcan, needle exchange program, medications for opioid use disorder
New patients are welcome. King’s Daughters Outpatient Wellness and Recovery is located in Suite 125, Medical Arts Building, 2301 Lexington Ave. in Ashland.
