PORTSMOUTH — The Green Lady Bobcats gave too much away and couldn’t get it back.

Green fell behind 9-1 in the first inning and never recovered as they dropped an 11-1 decision to the Portsmouth Notre Dame Lady Titans Wednesday in a Southern Ohio Conference game.

“We just got too far behind to dig ourselves out,” said Green coach Dale Royse.

Gidget Timberman, Sami Crisp and Micah Lewis all went 1-2 for Green (7-4, 4-2).

The Lady Bobcats only run scored in the top of the first inning when Timberman doubled and scored on an error.

Green hosts Coal Grove Thursday and visits East on Friday.
