Donald Kelley

Mr. Donald E. Kelley, 82, of Ironton, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born March 19, 1928, in Lawrence County, the son of the late Rev. Irvin Kelley and Mrs. Vesta Boyd Kelley. Donald attended Ironton schools and later worked as a truck driver where he retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. He attended First Church of the Nazarene. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Carl Emerson Kelley.
He is survived by two sisters, Lois (John) Loper and Clarabelle Beckett, both of Ironton; one sister-in-law, Donna Kelley of Ironton; a special aunt, Luella Sparling of Venice, Fla.; four nieces, Glenda (Bob) Delawder of Ironton, Kelli (Jamie) Salisbury of Virginia Beach, Va., Debbie (Chris) Cua of Columbus, Denise Loper and fiancé, Michael Baum of Columbus; four nephews, David (Sherri) Beckett of Georgetown, Ky., Brian (Debbie) Beckett of Ironton, and Chris Delawder and Britt (Amy) Delawder, all of Ironton; one godchild, Josh Jannotta, of Ironton; and several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home, with Pastors Rob Hale and Brian Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday.
