Tina Wilcoxon was presented the “Friend of Youth Award” by the Southeast Ohio District Athletic Board for her years of service not only to her school but other youth as well. Wilcoxon — a teacher as well as athletic director at Chesapeake Middle School — has spent 26 years doing a variety of work as a coach, announcer for Chesapeake and all Ohio Valley Conference schools, regional meets as well as keeping the scorebook. Wilcoxon was presented the award during the boys’ district basketball tournament at Ohio University’s Convocation Center.
