Over the past week, we had the privilege of speaking with videographers Brad Bear and Jeff Ford about their submission for HGTV’s Home Town Takeover contest. There will be submissions pouring in from all over the country aiming to gain the assistance of renovation experts in their own home towns.

Downtown Ironton has seen slow, but steady, change in recent years. The addition of a spray ground, the renovations at Ro-Na Theater, new businesses springing up to fill a need, old businesses giving their storefronts a facelift and restaurants bringing new flavors are all things that residents and visitors alike can enjoy.

The hours upon hours of unpaid work of volunteers and leaps of faith from those choosing Ironton as the home of their businesses are worth celebrating, and we’re happy to have Bear Media Services and Millimeter Creative volunteering to highlight a sampling of the good work that has already been done, as well as the work remaining that we need to roll up our sleeves for and complete as a community.
