Petty theft – State Route 243, Ironton, Jan. 17, woman alleges her ex-husband took a new battery out of her daughter’s car and put in an old one. Suspect named.

Petty theft – 200 block of Country Toad 410, South Point, Jan. 17, two juveniles allegedly took a tool from a Walmart shelf. Suspects cited and released to parents.

Theft – 7100 block of County Road 15, Chesapeake, man reports that someone punched a hole in his gas tank and stole a catalytic converter.

Assault – County Road 25, Pedro, Jan. 17, man alleges another man hit him in the face. Suspect named.

Domestic violence – 600 block of County Road 52, Ironton, woman alleges her boyfriend shoved her during an argument. Kevin Newcomb, 22, 689 County Road 52, Ironton, arrested.

Petty theft – 7100 block of State Route 141, Kitts Hill, Jan. 17, two men with a juvenile female allegedly stole between 750 and 1,000 pounds of newspapers and recycled them for money. Brandon M. White, 18, of 603 N. Fifth Street, Apt. 3, Ironton, Randall S. Camp, 40, of 1202 S. Second St., Ironton, and a juvenile female, arrested.

Cruelty to animals – 200 block of County Road 45, Ironton, Jan. 18, woman reports her cat was caught in a live trap on her neighbor’s property.

Theft – 600 block of Township Road 1156, Chesapeake, Nov. 11, man reports a hand gun and a shot gun were stolen from under his bed.
