CHILLICOTHE — After a busy day of clearing landslides and rockfalls, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Lawrence County Maintenance Facility will be back at it again today, working on State Route 7 at The Narrows.
On Monday, February 11, crews cleared mud, trees and loose rock on State Route 775 near County Road 70 (La Belle-Bartramsville Road) and between County Road 121 (Reeves Creek Road) and State Route 217, as well as on State Route 7 near County Road 9 (old State Route 7), just south of Crown City in Gallia County.
Today, maintenance forces will return to State Route 7 to begin clearing trees, runoff embankment material and rock from the ditchline and slope. A schedule to complete all work has yet to be determined and progress will be contingent upon the weather; however, State Route 7 will remain open, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers when crews are at work.
Motorists are reminded of the need for additional caution in the work zone.
