The Fairview Lady Eagles enjoyed a hot-shooting night from behind the 3-point line with 10 treys in a 58-30 win over the St. Joseph Lady Flyers on Monday.
Gracie Crisp had a game-high 24 points including four 3-point goals while Jordan Rakes got 17 points including three triples.
Bella Whaley scored nine points for the Lady Flyers (3-4).
Jordan Meeks scored all four of her points in the first quarter and Crisp had five points including a 3-pointer as Fairview took a 9-7 lead.
Kaitlyn Sheridan four points in the first quarter including a trifecta for St. Joseph.
Rakes got the hot hand in the second quarter with three 3-point goals and 11 points while Crisp was 6-of-6 at the foul line and Fairview (3-6) went up 26-15 at the half.
Faith Mahlmeister got four of St. Joseph’s eight points in the second quarter.
Josey Nelson and Crisp each had two 3-pointers in the third quarter — Crisp had 10 points total in the quarter — and Rakes added six points including 4-of-4 at the foul line as the lead grew to 52-20.
Emma Whaley had four of the Lady Flyers’ five points in the third quarter.
Bella Whaley hit a trey and was 3-of-4 at the foul line in the fourth quarter for the Lady Flyers while Crisp and Nelson each hit 3-pointers.
St. Joseph hosts Rock Hill at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Members of the 1970s Fabulous Female Flyers’ team will be guests for the game. The team had a 46-game winning streak and reached the regional finals.
