Dr. Dekay’s House of Screams, Haunted Tunnel open tonight
Two haunted Halloween attractions return to Ironton this year, and have their opening nights tonight.
Dr. DeKay’s House of Screams takes over the Ro-Na Theater on the weekends throughout the month of October, and Friends of Ironton member Suzie Hamlin said it is “not for the faint of heart.”
“It’s totally brand new this year, and there are a lot of new things in it,” she said. “Although I have never been through it, everyone that I talk to that has said it’s ‘scary as all get out.’”
The attraction is open from 7 p.m.-midnight each Friday and Satruday night throughout the month of October, and costs $10 per person.
In addition to Dr. DeKay’s House of Screams, the Ironton Lions Club’s Haunted Tunnel will be open for business beginning tonight as well.
“We’ve totally redone it on the inside and have a lot of new scenes,” Lou Pyles, with the Ironton Lions Club, said. “We’ve been working on it for about seven months, and it will feature a lot of new, different attractions.”
The Haunted Tunnel, located across from Ironton Hills Plaza, is also open every Friday and Saturday night from 7:30-11 p.m. throughout the month of October, and costs $5 per person.
