Chesapeake mayor faces misdemeanor charge

CHESAPEAKE — The mayor of Chesapeake will go to pretrial on Oct. 1 over a misdemeanor charge stemming from an incident last month.

Tommy Templeton was charged with disorderly conduct, following an argument with a neighbor on Aug. 29.

A deputy responding to the call placed Templeton under arrest, after he said the mayor had raised his voice and moved his arms hands toward him in an aggressive manner, after being advised not to do so.
