Glen Carmon

May 11, 1932 — Sept. 9, 2018

Glen A. Carmon, 86, of Ironton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018. The Pedro native was born May 11, 1932, the son of the late Jacob and Edna Fayne Carmon. He is survived by his wife, Martha DePriest Carmon, whom he married on May 11, 1957.
Mr. Carmon was a 1950 graduate of Pedro High School and a former security guard for Ashland Oil, where he worked for 20-plus years. He is a United States Air Force veteran, where he served for 20-plus years as an air policeman. He was also a former pastor for Lincoln Street Holiness Church in Coal Grove and as pastor of Union U.B. Church in Proctorville for 26 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marcella Carmon.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Rock (Vicki) Carmon, of Pedro, Dennis (Rhonda) Carmon, of Ashland, Kentucky, and Steven (Ami) Carmon, of Ironton; four daughters, Genny Carmon, of Wheelersburg, Kelli (James) Kearns, of Ironton, Kristy Foster, of Ironton, and Kathy Carmon, of Flatwoods, Kentucky; grandchildren, Michelle Johnson, Sarah Reyes, Ricky Parsons, Jessica Bowe, Courtney Parsons, Christopher Fetters, Michael Kearns, Patrick Kearns, Audrey Carmon, Angel Hogston, Brittany Carmon, Juan Staten, Forest Carmon, Michael Carmon, Olivia Wagner and Sophia Wagner; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor James Kearns officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 3-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
