Birth of Jesus doesn’t require embellishment

Why do so many people need to “embellish” the story of the Word of God? Isn’t the truth of his Word good enough for some people, by just what is said of it in the Bible?
The Word of God in the Bible tells us of his birth in Matthew 1: 23, “Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which the house and lineage of David).”
Luke 2:5 “(Joseph went) to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 and there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
10 And the Angel said unto them, fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem.”
Also in Luke chapter two was the birth told and where it took place. Luke 2: 4, “And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the City on Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem (because he was to see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known to us). 16 And they came with haste; and found Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in the manger.
17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.”
Please note
it was the shepherds that spread the word. The churches today that put on plays that show the “three kings” bearing gifts to baby Jesus in the manger are as I said in the start of this are embellishing the Word of God, because it didn’t happen that way at all, for if you read in Matthew chapter two you will find that they traveled a long way by caravan in order to get to Jerusalem, and didn’t know where he was born and by the time they found him he was “a young child” living in a “house”. If you want to be truthful portray it right not the way it looks good to people.
