ILL all-stars will hold
lunch fundraiser Friday
The Ironton Little League 11-12-year-old All-Stars are going to the state tournament and will have a fundraiser on Wednesday at Frische’s Big Boy in Ironton.
Persons eating between the hours of 4-to-10 p.m. need to mention at the checkout you are there for the Ironton Little League team and 10 percent of proceeds will go toward the all-star team.
A second fundraiser will be pulled pork lunches from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the little league fields.

River City Buccaneers
host division title game
The River City Buccaneers will be hosting the T3 divisional championship game at 5 p.m. Saturday at Tanks Memorial Stadium.
The Ironton semi-pro based team can earn a chance at the regional championship with a win.

Ironton Elks sponsoring
bus trip to Reds game
The Ironton Elks Lodge No. 177 is sponsoring a bus trip to the Cincinnati Reds vs. Philadelphia Phillies game on Sunday, July 29, at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati.
Fans will leave from the Hills Plaza for the 1 p.m. game. Cost of the trip is $50 each and covers transportation and field box seat along the first base line.

The trip is open to the public and children are welcome. You do not have to be a member of the Elks Lodge to participate.

set for Aug. 11 at CGHS
The Ohio Valley Conference football preview will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11, at Coal Grove High School.
Each game consists of two quarters. Here is the schedule:
5 p.m. Chesapeake vs. Rock Hill; 6 p.m. South Point vs. Portsmouth; 7 p.m. Ironton vs. Gallipolis; 8 p.m. Fairland vs. Coal Grove.

The Cincinnati Reds’ ticket hours are: non-game days Monday-Friday 9-5 p.m. Saturday 10- 4 p.m. (not open October-February); Game Days 9 a.m. until end of the 7th inning.
