4 sentenced in common pleas

Four defendants receive sentences in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
• Donald Sisler Jr., 28, of 2163 County Road 22, Ironton, admitted community-controlled sanctions (CCS) violations. Judge Andy Ballard sentenced him to four years CCS with 11 months reserved, and ordered him to complete STAR and 200 hours community service.
• Aaron Workman, 30, of 512 State Route 373, Ironton, pleaded guilty to failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. Ballard sentenced him to credit of time served.
• Hollie Church, 35, of 4875 Sherwood Drive, Ashland, Kencucky, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs (Oxycodone), a fifth-degree felony. Judge Charles Cooper sentenced her to four years CCS under intensive supervised probation (ISP) with 11 months reserved, and ordered her to continue her treatment in Kentucky.
• Byron Strickland, 26, of 1108 Fourth St. E., South Point, pleaded guilty to domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. Cooper sentenced him to nine months in prison.
In other cases:
• Brenna Shavor, 36, address unknown, denied CCS violations. Ballard set CCS trial for July 11.
• Michael Short Jr., 29, of 1124 S. Fourth St., Ironton, previously pleaded not guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine), both third-degree felonies. Ballard set trial dates of either July 16-17 or Aug. 2-3.
• Megan Thomas, 35, of 211 Solida Road, South Point, pleaded not guilty to possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony. Ballard set bond at $10,000 OR.
• Ellen Witten, 60, of 3116 S. Fifth St., Ironton, pleaded not guilty to possession of drugs (acetaminophen and hydrochloride), a fifth-degree felony. Ballard set bond at $10,000 OR.
• Jose Cisneros, 27, of 545 County Road 1, Unit F, South Point, pleaded not guilty to trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana, both fifth-degree felonies. Cooper continued bond from lower court at $2,635 cash or surety and $10,000 OR. Pretrial was set for Aug. 1.
• Erica Dean, 34, of Route 1, Box 275A, Lesage, West Virginia, pleaded not guilty to tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and possession of drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor. Cooper set bond at $3,000 cash or surety and $10,000 OR. Pretrial was set for July 25.
• Steven Fletcher, 28, of 2002 Little Solida Road, South Point, pleaded not guilty to possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony. Cooper set bond at $5,000 cash or surety and $10,000 OR. Pretrial was set for July 25.
• Clay Stark, 49, of 89 Township Road 1169, Proctorville, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession of drugs (cocaine, methamphetamine), both fifth-degree felonies. Cooper set bond at $10,000 OR, and ordered him to complete weekly drug testing due to failing a drug screen. Pretrial was set for July 25.
• Bradley Wilson, 45, of 63 Private Drive 9555, County Road 1, South Point, pleaded not guilty to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs of abuse or a combination of both, a third-degree felony. Cooper set bond at $15,000 OR. Pretrial was set for July 25.
