You did it!

You are now among the educated, the ones who hold a piece of paper declaring a completed education.

Some may be only temporary, as you will soon begin another chapter in your education process. Others will begin a job search. Either way, the world awaits you with open arms and a lifetime of adventures that you will get to choose. However, at this point, each choice will open doors. Keep in mind not all doors lead to prosperity.

Some tips from the seasoned child: First of all, look around, I mean really focus. Ask yourself some tough questions.

Then, explore options and take notes. Get to know yourself, and what you desire to accomplish in your lifetime. Then, as your journey begins, make friends along the way and lots of them. Listen — the most important task you will ever achieve is teaching yourself the value of listening to others.

Start now preparing for your future. With many websites on the Internet, you can purchase stock for as low as $100, plus a $5 fee. Buy life insurance — it will never be this cheap again, As you get older, it will increase in price. But wait — you don’t even have a job. OK, don’t be a beer-guzzling fool, I have witnessed many times in life that folks who allow their money to be tied up in alcohol and seem to struggle at making a life for them-self. I have also noticed those who put God first tend to prosper and find an inner peace that fuels them to succeed through trials and triumphs.

Look at the bigger picture. We are here on earth for such a short period. Why? Why were you born in this era of time?

What will happen once you leave this earth? Be sincere, forgive, love, be impartial.

The desires and the battles within you are very real. Take a good look at them and ask what are your motives? Would your 10-year-old self be happy with the person you are becoming as an adult?

A Bible verse comes to mind. In James, he tells us that God opposes the proud, but shows favor to the humble. Look around for yourself, don’t take my word. What do you see in people and their actions? What you see is building wisdom within yourself. Do not slander others, do not judge. Instead, watch and learn. Don’t boast when you have been blessed. Don’t allow misery to come on you because of your deeds.
