The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers got a running start and then just went into cruise control.
The Lady Tigers bolted to a 9-0 lead after three innings and beat the Rock Hill Redwomen 10-4 in an Ohio Valley Conference game on Wednesday.
Ironton jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning.
Mary Beth Burton and Riley Schreck singled, Kenzie Cremeens reached on an error and Demi Sands singled for two runs.
Peighton Rowe singled for a run and Kiandra Martin grounded out as a run scored.
Two more runs scored in the second when Burton had a one-out solo home run and Schreck, Cremeens and Sands followed with base hits.
The lead went to 9-0in the third.
Haylee Stevens singled, Martin hit into a force play, and Vaughn, Schreck and Cremeens all singled.
Rock Hill scored a run in the top of the fourth on a double by Grace Stevens, a ground out and an error.
Ironton got the run back in the bottom of the inning when Rowe and Stevens walked and Vaughn singled.
The Redwomen added three runs in the seventh.
Makenzie Hanshaw, Keilee Adams and Baylee Harrah singled and Sam Stamper reached on an error.
Ironton had 14 hits with Burton going 3-4 with a home run and two runs batted in. Schreck also went 3-4, Cremeens 2-3 with an RBI, Sands 2-4 and three RBI and Vaughn 2-3 and an RBI.
Grace Stevens was 2-4 with a double and Harrah 2-3 for Rock Hill.
On Monday, Ironton hosts Portsmouth and Rock Hill entertains South Point.
