Event facility still available for rent

Sta Tan Pool in Ironton announced that it would not open for the 2018 season on its Facebook page Monday afternoon.

A reason for not opening the pool this year, or if it will remain closed for summers beyond this year, was not given.

Sta Tan Pool was opened in Ironton in 1960, and the business has remained with the same family ever since.

The Olympic-sized pool contains two diving boards, a diving island and holds 65,000 gallons of water.

“The Pearl” event facility on the property will, however, be open for rental business.
