Lucille McFann
Lucille McFann, 89, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018. She was born in Fairfield, Illinois to the late Roy and Bertha Floyd.
She was a member of Southeast Church of the Nazarene in Kanawha City. She retired from CAMC Memorial Hospital in the laundry department with 25 years of service. After retirement, she worked at Gabriel’s Department Store until the age of 82.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow McFann; two brothers, John and Carl; and three sisters, Maxine, Doris and Helen.
Lucille is survived by her three children, Pam (Paul) Knight, of Pawley’s Island, South Carolina, Donna (Jim) Cooper, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Woodrow (Pam) McFann Jr., of Charleston, West Virginia; grandchildren, Katie Berger, Robbie Settle, Amy McAlea and Bradley McFann; and eight great-grandchildren.
A service to honor the life of Lucille will be 11 a.m. Monday at Sondgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston, West Virginia, with the Rev. Ollie Parsons officiating. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Monday at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur. William Harmon Jr.
March 22, 1928 — March 28, 2018
William Harmon Jr., 90, of Wilmore, Kentucky, formerly of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the Thomas Hood Veterans Center, Wilmore, Kentucky. The Lawrence County native was born March 22, 1928, a son of the late William Sr. and Georgia M. Large Harmon. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Rose Harmon, who passed away on Sept. 28, 2004.
Mr. Harmon was a graduate of Coal Grove High School and was a World War II veteran. He was a retired employee of Amcast, where he worked for more than 32 year, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Zoar Baptist Church in Coal Grove.
In addition to his parent and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Leslie Harmon, Curtis Harmon and Wayne Harmon; and a grandchild, Jessica Campbell.
He is survived by a son, Rickie Lee (Julie) Harmon, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; a daughter, Vickie Sue (Ervin) Campbell, of Reynoldsburg; three brothers, Ralph Harmon, of Laport, Indiana, and David Harmon, of Lutz, Florida; four sisters, Betty Hankins, Ruth Gillenwater, Connie (Jimmy) Hanshaw and Sandra Moore, all of Ironton; six grandchildren, Jeff Harmon, William Harmon, Joshua Harmon, Jacob Harmon, Nathan Campbell and Tyler Campbell; and three great-grandchildren, Sierra and Cheyenne Campbell, and Russell Harmon.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Jeremy Dillon officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens and visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Dorothy Bowman
Nov. 5, 1925 — March 28, 2018
Dorothy Louise Haney Bowman, 92, of Coal Grove, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Oakmont Manor Nursing Home.
Dorothy was born Nov. 5, 1925, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, a daughter to the late Henry and Della (Tice) Gadbaw. She was also preceded in death by her first husband of 32 years, Arthur Haney, who passed away in October 1977.
Dorothy was a graduate of Parker High School in Chicago, Illinois. She was a retired custodian for the Lawrence County Courthouse. She was a member of Jeffersonville Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by son, Edward Haney; two brothers, Donald Gadbaw and Robert Gadbaw; sister, Mary (Gadbaw) Keeley; and second husband, Alva Bowman.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara “Ben” Young, of Ironton, and Roselee Creger, of Coal Grove; son, Roger (Carolyn) Haney, of Glouster; two sisters, Joan King, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Betty Lawrence, of Rock Falls, Illinois; brother, Marvin Gadbaw, of Chicago, Illinois; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; and special friend, Gary Creger Sr.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Woodland Cemetery, Section P, Ironton, with pastor Roger Pierce officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton. Patricia Dickerson
Feb. 2, 1942 — March 28, 2018
Patricia Ann Dickerson, 76, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at her residence. The Lawrence County native was born Feb. 2 1942, a daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie Ann Dillow Long.
Mrs. Dickerson was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and a former production operator for General Electric. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed making prayer rosaries, which she sent over seas for missionaries to give out.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Janie Thomas and Betty Long; and a brother, Steven Long.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth (Chris) Leiendecker, of Pleasantville, and Jennifer (Josh) Anders, of Lancaster; a brother, Charles Long, of Ironton; four grandchildren, Jesse Wampler, of New Holland, Shawon Leiendecker, of Pleasantville, and Danny Stotridge and Trinity Strotridge, both of Lancaster; and a dear friend, Mary Gene Patterson, of Ironton.

Mary Carlyle
Aug. 3, 1965 — March 28, 2018
Mary Claire Carlyle, 52, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at SOMC, Portsmouth. The Ironton native was born Aug. 3, 1965, a daughter of the late Edward S. and Linda Lucas Carlyle.
Ms. Carlyle was a graduate of Ironton High School and was a fan of wrestling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John C. Carlyle and James E. Carlyle; sister, Carolyn Carlyle; and nephew, Tyler Nichols.
She is survived by two sisters, Susan (Mike) Virgin, of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Cindy (Chris) Milam, of Sanford, North Carolina; two nephews, Christopher Carlyle and Sam (Sarah) Schwed, all of Ironton; and friends and staff at Crystal Care.

Lisa Faye Lodwick, 44, of Kitts Hill, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky. She is survived by her husband, Michael Brian Lodwick.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Thursday at Getaway Community Church, Chesapeake, with pastor Justin Berry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
