Students learn about services provided
Rock Hill Middle School students were treated to a visit by a therapy dog last Thursday.
Digit, an Old English sheepdog who will turn 12 next month, was at the school with his handler, Teresa Huddle, teaching the students about therapy dogs and the services they provide.
“Our students were enthused to interact with Digit and expressed how the experience has enlightened them in many ways dogs can be utilized to help others,” Jason Owens, Rock Hill Middle School principal, said.
Huddle volunteers through the Therapy Dogs International organization, which works with thousands of facilities throughout the country, specializing in the healing and well being of clients.
