Theresa Bowen

Oct. 7, 1953— Nov. 2, 2017

Theresa Bowen 64, of Ironton, was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior on Thursday evening, Nov. 2, 2017. Theresa was born Oct. 7, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Helen Turvey and the late George Turvey. Theresa is survived by her husband John Bowen, whom she married in 1972. They just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.
Theresa was a 1971 graduate of Ironton High School, a dedicated and long-time employee of Ironton High School, an ordained minister and member of the Church of the King, a former member of the First Church of the Nazarene, a youth leader of the Nazarene Church, and former president and member of ISSA and also the founder for Tigers for Christ at Ironton High School.
Theresa was our most amazing and loving mother, dedicated daughter, special Grammy and was a loyal friend to all who knew her. Her walk with Jesus Christ and loving her family was what her life was all about.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Turvey, and her mother and father-in-law, Henry and Hazel Bowen.
She is survived her brother Michael Stamper of Ironton; son and daughter-in-law John and Amy Bowen of Marengo; daughter and son-in-law Dr. Todd and Christi Davis; son Derek Bowen, of Ironton; and sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Marc Wayner, of The Plains.
She is survived by six grandchildren: Tyler and Jacob Bowen of Marengo; and Graci, Matthew, Anna and Alli Davis, of Ironton.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday evening from 4-6 p.m. in the Ironton High School Auditorium. Funeral service will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene in Ironton at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Pastor Butch Deer and pastor Rob Hale will officiate. Pallbearers will be Tyler Bowen, Matthew Davis, Keith Kitchen, Levi Kitchen, Kris Wilson, Kerry Heaberlin, Marc Wayner and Joe Rowe.

Patricia Ellison

Patricia Ann Ellison, 79, of Proctorville, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 at home.
She is survived by her husband, James J. Ellison.
Funeral mass will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at St. Ann Catholic Church, Chesapeake. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, West Virginia.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, with a rosary service at 7:45 p.m.
