Breast Cancer is often curable if detected early through the use of clinical breast exams and mammograms. Currently, 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the U.S. The mission of the Breast and Cervical Cancer Project is to identify breast and cervical cancers at the earliest possible stage in underserved Ohio women. The Breast and Cervical Cancer Project is a statewide program.

The Southeastern Ohio Breast and Cervical Cancer Project serves 19 counties in Southeastern Ohio. Eligibility requirements have changed beginning Oct. 1, 2017. New eligibility requirements are as follows: women ages 25 to 64 for breast cancer screenings and diagnostic testing, women age 21 to 64 for cervical cancer screenings and diagnostic testing, income at or below 250 percent of the Federal Poverty Level, uninsured and live in the state of Ohio.  Please call to the Southeastern Ohio Breast and Cervical Cancer Project at 1-800-236-6253 or 740-732-4958 to see if you qualify.

If a woman does not qualify for Direct Services the Patient Navigation program is designed to assist clients ages 21 to 74 in obtaining the needed screenings.
