FRANKLIN FURANCE — And the beat goes on.
The Green Bobcats used the pitching of brothers Tayte and Trevor Carver to help beat the Eastern Eagles on Thursday to remain unbeaten in the Southern Ohio Conference.
Green is now 8-2 overall and 5-0 in the SOC.
“Tayte pitched well, Tanner pitched well and it was a well-played ball game,” said Green coach Dan McDavid.
“Eastern has a pretty good team. We’re just glad to get another league win.”
Tayte Carver went five innings for the win. He struck out eight, didn’t walk a batter and gave up all three Eastern hits. Trevor Carver threw just 26 pitches for the save as he struck out five with no walks.
Green broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the third.
