SP residents get four years for drug charges

A man and a woman from South Point will each serve four years in prison for separate drug trafficking charges.
Shana Pinkerman, 26, of 712 W Fourth St., was charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs and Jerome Yancey, 29, of 729 County Road 1,was charged with three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs. The two were sentenced Wednesday during Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
Pinkerman pleaded guilty Wednesday. Yancey had previously pleaded guilty and was sentenced Wednesday.
In other cases:
Tyler Napier, 18, of 2009 County Road 31 Chesapeake, pleaded not guilty to a theft charge. Judge Charles Cooper set a pretrial hearing in Napier’s case for Sept. 1.
Rebecca Allen, 41, of 723 S Ninth St. Apartment C, Ironton, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs, a fifth degree felony. Allen was sentenced to seven months in prison.
Roger Christian, 23, of 737 Township Road 141 Willow Wood pleaded guilty to one count of theft, a fifth degree felony. Christian was sentenced to successfully complete the STAR community justice program and four years of community-controlled sanctions.
Eugene Dalton, 39, of 287 Township Road 616 South Point, pleaded guilty to a bill of information that included one count of felony driving under the influence and one count of receiving stolen property. Dalton was sentenced to 12 months in prison.
