Dorothy Wilson
Aug. 28, 1946 — Jan. 17, 2017
Dorothy Marie Wilson, 70, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton native was born Aug. 28, 1946, the daughter of the late Richard Cole and Clara Adams Cole.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Wilson, on Nov. 11, 2006.
Dorothy attended Decatur Elementary School and Blackfork High School. She was a homemaker, loved to bowl and spend time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Billy Wilson.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Clara Rutherford, of Panama City, Florida, and Nancy (Kenneth) Drake, of Ironton; son, Mickey (Rosetta) Wilson, of Ironton; brother, Richard Cole, of Lockborne; sister, Connie (Gerry) Campbell, of The Villages, Florida; seven grandchildren, Carl Rutherford, Tiffany Wilson, Joey Wilson, Holly Wilson, Mickey Wilson, Jessica Drake and Teddy Rutherford; and eight great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Mack Shope officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Diane Sunseri
Diane L. Sunseri, 64, of Ironton, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton Campus.

Carol Hampton
Feb. 23, 1947 — Jan. 17, 2017
Carol Lee Hampton, 69, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at the St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton Campus. The Morehead, Kentucky native was born Feb. 23, 1947, a daughter of the late John E. Matheny and Lillian Davis Matheny Sprouse.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Taylor Thompson, whom she married April 1, 2015.
Carol attended Pedro High School, was a member of the Jehovah Witness Church in Ironton and was a former bus driver for the Community Action Organization.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Edward Ray Hampton.
She is survived by four sons, James “JB” (Jamie) Lewis, of Coal Grove, Ronald (Stephanie) Lewis, of Bucyrus, Edward Hampton, of Hecla, and Albert Hampton, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; six daughters, Lillian Jackson, of Ironton, Rebecca Collingsworth, of Pedro, Mickey Jean (Michael) Rowe, of Hecla, Gail Lewis, of Pedro, Penny (John) Brumfield, of Kitts Hill, and Dixie (James) Pinson, of Wayne, West Virginia; three brothers, Ted (Pam) Sprouse, of Pedro, Roy (Beverly) Sprouse, of Ironton and Donny (Rita) Sprouse, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; two sisters, Mickey (Richard) Baldwin, of Dayton, and Sally Sprouse, of California; and 20 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with Minister Dan Schomburg officiating. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
Chester Collins
Chester Lee Collins, 52, of South Point, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017. He is survived by his wife.
There will be a celebration of his life at 4 p.m. Saturday at Annie Lane Venue, 1740 County Road 32, Chesapeake.
