Buffalo Wild Wings at Ironton Hills Plaza will soon expand its restaurant as well as remodel the existing part of the restaurant to incorporate the Buffalo Wild Wings “Stadia” design concept.
“The expansion will include another dining area that can be used as a party room for private parties or restaurant overflow,” Stacie Staker, director of marketing for Schmidt Restaurant Group, which owns the Buffalo Wild Wings location, said. “There will be seating for around 100 plus people and it will be fully equipped with TVs.”
Staker said the expansion will go into another portion of the strip mall on the side of the restaurant, and will include a station for soft drinks. There will be no bar area or alcohol readily available in the expansion area of the restaurant, but alcohol will still be served if ordered.
“We’re really excited about providing a venue for people in the area to have large parties and gatherings,” Staker said. “It can be used for private parties, business or industry gatherings, special occasions, for school functions, anything. It’s going to be a great addition to the area.”
The expansion is set to get started sometime in February, and have minimal to no effect on the rest of the restaurant during construction.
The remodel of the restaurant to incorporate Buffalo Wild Wings’ “Stadia” design concept will begin sometime after the expansion, with hopes to be completed sometime in April following March Madness, Staker said.
“It will be brand new, top to bottom,” Staker said. “New walls, new furniture, new décor, new everything.”
The Buffalo Wild Wings “Stadia” design concept includes a horseshoe-shaped bar in the center of the restaurant surrounded by LED TVs. The dining areas of the restaurant are separated from the bar section, in order to accommodate families and children better, and are illuminated by natural light through windows. LED TVs also replace all projectors, which can be difficult to see in sunlit areas.
“We’re excited about having a fresh, new look for our guests that we think they’ll enjoy,” Staker said.
Nancy Howell, general manager of the Ironton Buffalo Wild Wings, said she and the rest of the restaurant are excited about the changes.
“Our team is really anxious about the opportunity to bring something great and exciting to the community with this expansion and remodel,” she said. “We hope our guests will enjoy it.”
