As we quickly move toward 2017, The Tribune wants to know what you, our readers, felt were the top 10 stories of the year.
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of things that impact our lives in the course of a year, but what were your biggest stories of 2016?
The Zika virus outbreak and subsequent fear during the Rio Olympics this summer?
The presidential election last month, now giving the Republicans complete control of the White House and both chambers of Congress?
The many cases of civil unrest throughout the country involving communities and law enforcement?
Those may be a few of the top stories for 2016 throughout the country, but what about right here at home?
The long-awaited opening of the Oakley C. Collins Ironton-Russell Bridge after over a decade of planning and construction?
The new tenants and enhancements at The Point Industrial Park?
The Tribune will publish its list of the top 10 stories on Jan. 1, 2017, and we want your feedback on what you felt were the most important or impactful stories of 2016.
You can submit your list or suggestions through Dec. 27 to our Ironton Tribune Facebook page, on Twitter @irontontribune or through email to topstories@irontontribune.com.
