Randy Harrison

Randy Lee Harrison, 61, of Coal Grove, passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at his residence. The Ironton native was born April 14, 1955, the son of the late Junior Harrison and Bonnie Craycraft Harrison.
Randy was a 1974 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and was a former maintenance worker for Woodland Cemetery, where he worked for 34 years and retired in 2007. After retiring, Randy went back to work as a custodian at Dawson-Bryant High School. He attended Jeffersonville Missionary Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed working with kids and helping coach Coal Grove Little League baseball and basketball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Harrison; and a sister, Linda Harrison-Johnson.
He is survived by four brothers, Rick Harrison, of Bidwell, Jimmy (Emma) Harrison, of Coal Grove, Jeff Harrison, of South Point, and Larry (Kelli) Harrison, of Coal Grove; three sisters, Connie Harrison, of Coal Grove, Nancy (John) Payne, of Ironton, and Mary (Kenny) Delawder, of Ironton; brother-in-law, Delbert Johnson, of Bidwell; special nephew, whom he helped raise, Ronald Harrison, of Coal Grove; and many nieces and nephews along with several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, with pastor Mike Huff officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jim Moore, Nathan Harrison, Jordan Harrison, Ronald Harrison, T.J. Harrison and Kenny Delawder. Deloris Ann Payton Shepherd Bocook, 86, of Barboursville, West Virginia, died Friday, October 21, 2016, at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington.
