Event benefits Coal Grove Hornet Boosters

COAL GROVE — The inaugural Grove Yard Haunted Glow 5K Run/Walk is set for next Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Dawson-Bryant High School track.

Hosted by the Coal Grove Hornet Athletic Boosters, the event will have awards for the top three finishers in each age group as well as special awards for best costume runner, best glow runner and more. Door prizes will also be given away. It is encouraged to wear a Halloween costume.

Pre-registration is $25 per person and will include a T-shirt, glow items and more. Registration the day of the event is $35 per person and begins at 6 p.m., but a T-shirt is not guaranteed.

The age groups for the 5K include 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 and 65 and older.

Mail registrations should be sent to Coal Grove Athletic Boosters, #1 Hornet Lane, Coal Grove, Ohio 45638, and must be in by Saturday, Oct. 22. You can also pre-register on www.tristateracer.com.
