Ryan Bryant is going from blocking defensive ends to blocking out.
The Ironton Fighting Tigers’ sophomore spent his weekend going from football to basketball in a matter of hours.
The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Bryant played tight end for Ironton in their 31-0 win, then packed up his sneakers and headed for Pickerington North High School on Saturday.
Names as one of the top 250 high school players by Prep Hoops Ohio, Bryant participated in a showcase held Saturday and Sunday. The event is set up for players to showcase their skills in front of numerous top college coaches all while playing with and against some of the best players in the country.
Bryant has also been selected as a Phenom 150 that recognized him as one of the top 150 basketball players in the nation for his 2019 graduating class. He will fly to San Diego in August to partake in that event.
Besides his athletic schedule, Bryant has a demanding school schedule and he is currently taking college classes as a sophomore.
