Theft, criminal trespass, warrants for arrest — Wal-Mart, South Point, Aug. 17, woman allegedly stealing items from store; another woman who was previously banned from property waiting in parking lot and also had an active warrant; Christine Newman, 32, of 58 Private Drive 3 Apt. 4, Chesapeake, cited to court; Tracy Bundy, 38, of 926 24th St., Huntington, arrested.

Domestic violence — 500 block County Road 3, Chesapeake, Aug. 23, man alleged girlfriend struck him in the head with her cell phone, head-butted him, tried to choke him and chased him with a kitchen knife; Michelle Watts, 35, of the same address, arrested; woman also charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest when she was being released from jail.

Assault — 700 block Township Road 231, South Point, Aug. 20, woman alleged man became aggressive with her when she said she didn’t want to have sex with him; suspect allegedly pushed her and choked her.

Failure to confine vicious or dangerous dog — 300 block Township Road 1273, Chesapeake, Aug. 22, man alleged neighbor’s dog broke through his fence and killed his Chihuahua.

Domestic violence — 70 block Township Road 1334, South Point, Aug. 22, two women alleged man was making verbal threats to them; suspect named.

Assault — 1800 block County Road 103, Ironton, Aug. 23, man alleged another man grabbed his neck and choked him and pushed him and threatened to hill him; suspect named.

Theft — 2400 block County Road 144, South Point, Aug. 23, laptop, cell phone, dirt bike taken from residence; suspects named.
