The Ironton Holiday Inn Express recently found out it was the recipient of two awards based on service and overall satisfaction.
The hotel received the 2015 Winning Metrics Award from the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) for having an outstanding score in each of the five metrics of overall guest satisfaction, likely to return, problem handling, quality of sleep and member recognition.
“We are very proud of our staff for working as a team to ensure our guests love our hotel,” Melissa Butterworth, hotel general manager, said. “It takes everyone working together to achieve this accomplishment.”
Butterworth added that she hopes to use this award as an encouragement to receive the Torchbearer Award this coming year, IHG’s most prestigious honor.
Along with the IHG Winning Metrics Award, the hotel also won the Gold Award through Hotels.com for maintaining high ratings within the brand.
The hotel was rated by 851 guests and received an outstanding score of 4.9 out of 5 to claim the honor.
“I am very proud to be amongst such a great staff that cares about each guest and ensuring they have a fantastic stay while they are here in the Tri-State area,” Butterworth said.
In addition to the two hotel awards, Butterworth was named 2015 Salesperson of the Year at the annual Holiday Inn general manager conference in Trinity, Florida.
“Our company has a multitude of talent among the brand, so it was a great honor to be recognized for this award,” she said. “It takes a village to achieve great accomplishments, and I am thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful community of citizens here in Ironton.”
