Come take taste of Ironton

There are still a few days left to get advanced tickets for the second annual Taste of Ironton.
After the success of last year’s event, bringing more than 700 people downtown, it’s no surprise Ironton aLive wanted to make Saturday’s event bigger and better, expanding the vendor list and the event space. This year, each vendor will have their own tent space, rather than having everyone under one tent.
There will also be entertainment, inflatables and, of course, the spray park will be open.
These kinds of events that showcase local talent, whether it is a talent for cooking, as is the case of Saturday’s event, or a talent for playing music or making homemade crafts, have proven to be successful throughout the entire Tri-State.
They bring people together in a safe and family-friendly environment and they support the communities’ aim of promoting local companies or artisans over big chain restaurants or retailers.
Ironton aLive has done so much to keep residents involved in the regrowth of downtown. If you’re out for lunch on Saturday, stop by the farmers market and help support the organization, as well as the local business owners who will sell some of their tastiest offerings.
The event runs from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and if you buy a $10 coupon book in advance, you get a free drink coupon.
