A free summer lunch program for children that was supposed to start this week has been pushed to next week due to pending grant approval.
The lunch program will begin on Monday, June 13, according to Trish Johnson of the Workforce Development Resource Center. The sites and times meals will be served have not changed.
The Summer Food Service Program, funded by the USDA, serves meals to children ages 1-18 at 11 sites throughout the county.
